Evaluation guide
Product boundaries, certificate authority relationships, data handling, and the operational responsibilities that matter during evaluation.
CertPing orchestrates issuance via industry-standard protocols (ACME) and integrates with trusted CAs like Let's Encrypt (ISRG) which conform to CA/Browser Forum Baseline Requirements. We ensure all managed certificates adhere to these strict global standards.
CertPing operates in accordance with GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation), CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), and industry best practices for secure certificate management and automated deployment.
CertPing acts as an automation platform that facilitates certificate issuance through Let's Encrypt (ISRG) and other CAs. We do not issue certificates ourselves but provide the infrastructure to request, validate, and deploy them automatically on your behalf.
CertPing is not a Certificate Authority (CA) and does not issue certificates itself. However, our platform automates the issuance, deployment, and renewal process by integrating with trusted CAs (like Let's Encrypt) and your cloud infrastructure.
For monitored public domains, we retrieve metadata in real-time from Certificate Transparency (CT) Logs and DNS. For certificates managed via our platform, deployment status and validity are tracked instantly from your connected cloud providers.
By using CertPing, users agree to use the platform lawfully, including respecting IP and trademark rights, not misuse AI-generated insights or treat them as legal advice, not share account credentials (one user per login), and comply with any restrictions outlined in the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and FAQ.
CertPing respects user rights under data protection laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, the right to opt-out of domain-level public data display (proof of ownership required), and the right to file complaints or revoke consent for data use.
Yes. You can request removal of a domain's data by sending an email to support@certping.com and proving domain ownership (e.g., DNS TXT record or authorized email). CertPing will evaluate and respond based on applicable laws and its privacy policy.
No personal data is collected beyond email address for account creation, basic usage logs (browser version, OS, access times), and payment information (handled by a third-party processor). All sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and CertPing does not share or sell user data.
CertPing uses AI to generate predictive insights for Brand Defense and Phishing detection. These are probabilistic and should be verified. However, our SSL Automation and Deployment features operate on deterministic, industry-standard protocols (ACME) and are not subject to AI hallucinations.
Yes. CertPing may suspend or terminate your account for Terms of Use violations, inactivity exceeding 6 months, or illegal or abusive activity (e.g., scraping, phishing, impersonation).
Upon cancellation, all data becomes immediately inaccessible and CertPing permanently deletes the data. No data recovery is possible after deletion.
CertPing does not revoke certificates, but may detect and flag revoked certificates using Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) or OCSP (if available) and display revocation data if available from trusted sources like Let's Encrypt. Revocation is governed by the original CA's CP/CPS, such as the ISRG policy (Section 4.9).
